So, if you're most people, you saw the movie Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy at some point in your life, and you thought it was pretty damn funny. In case you're not most people, Anchorman is a movie about a San Diego action news team in the 70's. It has Will Ferrell playing lead anchor, Paul Rudd, Steve Carell, and David Koechner as his team of sidekicks, and Christina Applegate as the intrepid breaker of glass ceilings/love interest. Anyhow, the point is that Anchorman was a clutch part of many youthful years for many people.
When they announced the possibility of a sequel, I was hesitant to say the least. Would this become one of those movies that gets dragged into two or three or four totally bloodless sequels which make you kinda hate and resent what was once the awesome original?
I have to say, though--my heart softened a little when I saw the trailer. What can I say: I love those characters. So here's fingers crossed that they don't do me wrong. Check out the trailer for yourself here:
