If you live in New York (or in various other major cities,) you might have seen the recent ad campaign for Game of Thrones, which is making it's glorious return on the 31st. It's a series of close-up face shots of the various denizens of Westeros, shaded ominously on the sides of their faces by blue light (BECAUSE WINTER IS COMING, RIGHT!?). They look like this:
I've been seeing them everywhere: on the subway, on busses, and plastered onto the sides of buildings. Recently, one popped up right near my house, on the route I take to and from work
Dear readers, I have learned something from this poster. I have learned that it is possible to want to physically punch a poster in the face in a very serious way, Why, you might ask?
Because it's of goddamned Joffrey.
I only recently got into Game of Thrones and totally marathon-ed the first two seasons in the span of about a week, so maybe the emotions are still fresh, but goddamnit do I despise Joffrey. He is honestly the worst.
Seriously, every time I pass his awfulness, I'm overcome by unmistakable rage. I'm even feeling it now, writing this damn post. I feel like I need some gifs of Joffrey getting slapped in his stupid face to calm down.
For what it's worth, all my Joffrey rage just goes to show you what a kickass, compelling show Game of Thrones is. Getting pumped for a new season of hating that horrible little prick!
