This past Thursday had the premiere of Zero Hour, which has a promising premise. In a bizarre twist of fate, a man who's spent 20 years as the editor of a skeptics magazine is pulled into one of the most compelling conspiracies in human history. Okay, we can work with that!
The show started off with an Illuminati/Free Mason-ish group of priests during Nazi Germany. They have...something....that can't be chanced to falling into the wrong hands. This mystery item is shipped off before Nazi's stampede the church and start shooting up all the priests.
Which really doesn't seem like the Christian thing to do.
Fast forward to the present where our main guy Hank Galliston is at a flea market with his wife, who unknowingly picks up and purchases an item that is a key to finding...whatever it is. Cue her being kidnapped and let the chase begin!
To be honest, the acting is kind of "meh" and the plot jumps around too frequently, resulting in you having to turn to the person next to you and ask what just happened.
Which sucks, because they don't know either.
It's a new show, and some great shows build up to their potential and take a while to find their footing. We think we'll stick with Zero Hour for a bit and give it a chance. Will you be watching?
